Cocoa Mama Products
We work predominantly with single origin chocolate, which means it comes from one source and its flavour – rather like fine wine – is unique to that farming region. We like high cocoa content chocolate, even for our creamy milk chocolate truffles, and use a variety of chocolates including a 30% Dominican Republic white chocolate, a 40% Venezualan milk chocolate, a 65% dark chocolate made with beans from Ecuador and a 70% Sao Thome dark chocolate.
All our chocolates are made the old fashioned way. We use artisan equipment such as a dipping fork and a bain marie, making our chocolates with passion, pride and creativity.
For our popular truffles we blend fresh cream with single origin chocolate from around the world. For our pralines we use flavours inspired by the producers around our home in the Dove Valley, Suffolk, including honey, lavender, apples, beer, cider, raspberries and chilli.
We now have more than 30 different chocolates in our range, and we make different recipes each week, changing with the seasons; Hot Cross Bun in Spring, Strawberry and Champagne in Summer, Toffee Apple in Autumn and Gingerbread in Winter.
As we make in small batches to maintain the freshest chocolate, the full range is not always available. If you have a favourite you would like to order, we can add to our production schedule and have them made for you within a week.
We sell our chocolates fresh from the chiller cabinet in our Chocolaterie, 4 Broad Street, Eye, Suffolk, in either ballotin boxes to take home and share or beautiful gift boxes of 12, 18 or 24 chocolates, which can also be mailed for an extra charge.

Cocoa is, after all, the fruit of the cacoa tree, full of all the nutritional values you’d expect from a plant food. It is only through heavy processing, or conching, that nutrients can be lost. Our Artisan Bars are made with some of the finest couveture that has been gently processed to which we add only simple ingredients such as plump sour cherries, soft crystalised ginger and freshly roasted almonds and hazelnuts. There are no oils or artificial flavourings, just good honest chocolate in beautiful neat bars. Best of all they are packed in twos, ideal for sharing!
